1cupslivered almonds2 oz package
1tablespoontamarior soy sauce if gluten isn't on your list, a gluten-free soy sauce alternative *
sea salt to taste
Heat your oven to 325F. Spray a baking pan with vegetable spray or line with parchment paper (whichever process your prefer).
Place the slivered almonds in one bowl. Set aside.
In a separate bowl combine the liquid smoke, maple syrup and tamari. Give it a stir. Then add the paprika and turmeric and stir once more.
Pour the liquid smoke mixture over the almonds and stir gently to ensure each piece is covered.
Spread the seasoned almond slivers across your prepared pan, ensuring they're distributed evenly across the pan. Place in the oven and bake for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and stir to redistribute the seasoning some more. Return the pan to the oven and bake for 5 more minutes. Be sure to keep an eye on them because they burn easily. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with sea salt, and allow the almond slivers to cool. Once cool, transfer to a lidded container to store.
