Chop the avocado in half and remove the pits. Scoop out the flesh and place in a bowl. Use a fork to mash it.
Add the garlic powder, lime juice, red onion, and sea salt. Stir to combine.
Top with chopped tomatoes.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
You can use fresh garlic, but it adds a strong flavor to the guac, so I recommend no more than 1 clove.Some people love cilantro in their guacamole. We leave it out because there are those that don't like it. Feel free to sub chopped parsley or chopped fresh chives instead. Or serve chopped cilantro on the side for those that want it.Store guacamole in an airtight container or place a sheet of plastic wrap directly over the top of it to prevent oxidization which can cause browning.
