Ingredients

  • 1 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil
  • 20 sugar wafer cookies (vanilla or multi-flavored will work (check the label to make sure it’s free of dairy products)

Instructions

  • Tear off a piece of wax paper and place it over a cookie sheet.
  • Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe container and stir in the coconut oil, making sure the chips are coated. Microwave for 1 minute, then set aside for 1 - 2 minutes. Stir the mixture. If the chocolate is not fully melted, heat for another 20 seconds.
  • Grab one of the sugar wafers and either dip it into the chocolate using your fingers, or use a spoon to drizzle the chocolate over the cookie. Make sure it is thoroughly coated. Gently swipe the cookie across the edge of the bowl holding the melted chocolate, to remove any excess chocolate. Place the bar on the waxed paper. Continue this process until all the cookies are coated.
  • Place the cookie sheet full of still wet chocolate covered kit kat bars in the fridge until the chocolate has hardened.
  • Store vegan kit kat bars in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
