Ingredients

  • 1 chamomile tea bag
  • cup agave nectar syrup (or maple syrup)
  • 1 cup vegan butter, softened
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  • Add roughly 2 teaspoons of water to a small bowl. Microwave a few seconds until the water is fairly warm, but not hot. Add the tea bag, pushing it around in the water until the tea is saturated.
  • Pour the agave syrup in another bowl. Gently squeeze the tea bag over the syrup, releasing the chamomile flavor. Stir the syrup. Take a test and see if you don't agree this tastes like honey!
  • Add vegan butter to a mixing bowl. Beat for one minute on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  • Add vegan honey and salt. Beat on low speed to mix the two.
  • Scrape down the sides of the bowl, then turn up the speed to medium and beat until fluffy.
  • Transfer to an airtight container and keep refrigerated. It will keep up to 2 weeks when stored properly. Serve softened honey butter over your favorite slices of bread, cornbread, dinner rolls, or english muffins.

Notes

Freezing Instructions

Chill the butter in a fridge, then spoon it out onto a sheet of plastic wrap. Seal tightly and cover with another sheet or two of plastic wrap. It will keep in the freezer for up to 2 months.
