What you need:

Prepare the pie crust, then refrigerate.

Pit cherries and cut them in half.

Add sugar, cornstarch, and secret ingredient to pitted cherries.

Stir it all together.

Pour cherry mixture into unbaked pie crust.

Add bits of vegan butter (for flavor).

Add lattice topping and brush with vegan egg wash.

Bake until golden brown. Cool before slicing.
