2 cups filtered water 1 green tea bag ½ teaspoon matcha powder (optional) 3 medium strawberries (plus more for serving) 2 slices fresh lime sweetener (optional) 2 fresh mint leaves
Heat water in a saucepan or microwave until hot but not boiling.
Remove from heat and add the green tea bag. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes . Optional: After the green tea has steeped, stir in matcha powder.
Add ice to a large mason jar until it's ¾ filled.
Use a fork to mash the strawberries. Add mashed strawberries and lime slices to the ice.
Remove tea bag from the water and discard. Pour warm tea into the pitcher with the ice.
To serve add sweetener of choice and fresh mint leaves.
If you don't have fresh ginger, substitute ½ to 1 teaspoon of dried ground ginger.
