This strawberry banana matcha smoothie is a go-to for a quick and healthy meal or snack! You'll love the flavor of sweet strawberries paired with the earthy matcha tea!
1cupstrawberries(fresh or frozen) See note if using frozen strawberries.
Instructions
Add the milk, banana, protein powder, and ice to a blender. Blend on low until mostly broken down. Scrape down sides of the blender jar. Gradually increase blending speed until the mixture is smooth.
Pour half of this mixture into a bowl. Stir in the matcha powder.
Add strawberries to the remaining mixture in the blender. If using frozen strawberries, see note below. Blend until smooth.
Pour some of the strawberry mixture into a glass. Then add a bit of the matcha mixture. Finish with some more of the strawberry mixture to create beautiful layers.
Serve immediately.
Notes
For Frozen Strawberries
If using frozen strawberries, let them sit out a few minutes to soften. This will make blending easier. You may need to add a bit more almond milk if using frozen strawberries.
