Convenient Vegans crave the comfort foods they’ve grown up eating and are looking for easy, convenient, appetite-pleasing meals.
Here are some fun characters that represent the Convenient Vegan type.
Celebrity Profile: Mike Tyson
Cartoon Character: Shaggy from Scooby Doo. Who knows if those Scooby Snacks were truly vegan!
Celebrity Vegan Chef: Jason Wrobel
Convenient Vegans aren’t into veganism for the health of it, they’re probably more apt to say they’d like to help improve the environment first and that they have a compassion for animals second. They may have other reasons for being vegan. For example, maybe they were bit by a tick that left them allergic to animal products (it’s seriously a thing), or maybe they’ve developed some other aversion to eating meet, such as a dairy allergy, or they just don’t like the taste of meat anymore.
There are lots and lots of reasons why you might be eating a vegan diet, besides a concern for related to health.
The reason may not be set in stone, but one thing the Convenient Vegan knows for sure, they like their creature comforts and won’t be giving up their Mac and Cheese, Pizza, Chocolate Cake, and French Fries, and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches any time soon.
Convenient Vegans want accessibility too. They don’t want to drive all around town looking for exotic ingredients. They need to be able to find what they’re looking for in the health food section of their local grocery store, or maybe at Target or Walmart. Otherwise, forget about it. There are those who turn their nose up at processed vegan foods. The Convenient Vegan is not one of them. If they can have their Steak Soup (made with beefless tips), bring it on!
